I would like to bring to your kind notice how a consumer can be harassed by the ‘duty full’ activities of your bank team.

In Dec 2016, HDFC Life representative Mr Satish (+919840387453) contacted me over phone and explained about Life Insurance Policy , stating , new policy holders would be awarded with one gram gold coin, JIO Sim, 4G mobile set, No processing fee etc.

Even while I am not carried away by this marketing strategy of HDFC bank, bank's executives persuaded me by repeated calling, while I was on vacation at my native place Coimbatore.. Because of the pressure exerted on me, I am forced to knod my head to take a policy of Value Rs 30,000/-. Bank executives compelled me to go for a policy of Value Rs 40,000/- indicating the difference in premium is very much negligible .

I agreed for this also , just to get rid of the mental agony caused by this repeated tele calling, spoiling my vacation.

In course of application processing , M/s Visa Broking Service Ltd (Verification call got from +912067245400 & +912067243800 ) called me for tele verification . During that, I was dictated by bank executives to state that the applications / related documents were collected by executives of HDFC bank in person, where as actually I sent scanned images of application over whatsapp only.

On this tele verification, even though it is noticed that as per their bank records my email id is wrongly keyed in, bank's executives forced me to say “ Every detail is Correct†, promising the wrong data can be corrected at a later date. As per bank record, my email id will be anandkumar82@gmail.com. But actual email id is anandhakumar82@gmail.com (Currently they updated without my request).

After all these , now bank team is informing me that 1.1% processing fee need to be paid.On enquiry it is said that processing fee is waived off only for policies of value Rs 1 Lakh and above . The payment is debited in my credit card account without my concern. While I approached the bank executives to settle this discrepancies , they try to wash off their hands pointing fingers towards others .

I truly condemn this attitude of penalizing consumers, by all false promises, pressurizing beyond limits to achieve your set targets.

Now I strongly instruct the bank to cancel this policy bearing No.18875580, by halting further processing immediately. The amount Rs 4036/- (Principal Amount + Interest + SERVICE TAX + SWACHH BHARATH CESS + KRISHI KALYAN CESS + EMI PROCESSING FEE-SmartEMI LN# 257041. i.e 3136.45+440.00+56.00+2.00+2.00+400.00 = 4036.45) taken from my credit card is to be refunded at the earliest.

Once again I confirm that I am not willing to continue this policy.
