Complaint Details
i purchased a numeric hph 500 va inverter and an exide battery with a total amount of rs 10920 from chennai electronics on 04/05/2011, the technician of the company installed the product on 05/05/2011. the inverter stopped functioning exactly 5 days later. a strange loud beep started coming from the device, i called up the company on three subsequent days but no one responded . on 16/05/2011, the contact person prabhu attended my call and sent an electrician on 17/05/2011, the electrician did not even listen to my complaints he simply unplugged the wires and plugged it back and said the product is working properly, but the inverter stopped working the next day,i was deeply upset and called the company and i told them that if they dont rectify this problem i will have to go to the consumer forum. the contact person mr. prabhu threatened me saying i will have to face dire consequences if i go to court and that he will not provide any assisstance on the inverter i purchased from the company only 15 days back. sir am deeply upset and feel totally shattered as it is my hard earned money that has been put in buying this product.sir as i am preparing for my md entrance examination, i am facing a lot of difficulty during power cuts, kindly pursue my case to take back this faulty equipment and install a new one. sir am enclosing the copy of the cash receipt bill
