Complaint Details
Whereas, the company called the complainant and told that the company manufacture and market the world’s best water purifier and insisted her to purchase one purifier from the company.
Whereas the complainant told the company to show the demonstration at her place.
Whereas the company person Anil Singh came to the complainant’s place on 09-05-2010 but without any kit and again told only, that the company make world’s best water purifier and as the complainant also heard from various sources that the performance of the company purifiers are good.
Whereas believing on the company’s words, the complainant on asking by the companyr representative, had paid Rs.13,500/- (through cheque No.244545 SBI High Court, Lucknow dated 09-05-2010 for Rs.12,500 and Rs.1000/- through cash) for the value of the purifier, including after sales service and warranties there upon and final receipt No.611 – 018839 was issued by the companyr CSS Mr. Anil Singh.
Whereas the company did not installed purifier at the place of the complainant for more than one month.
Whereas on repeated inquiries from the companyr office, the company installed one unit of purifier at the place of the complainant only on 12-06-2010.
Whereas on the day of installation, the companyr representative started the purifier and it was working, however from the very next day, the said purifier stopped working.
Whereas on complaint made by the complainant to the company, a representative came and checked the purifier and told that the adapter and filter of the purifier is defective and changed the same.
Whereas from then till now the said purifier not worked properly for even a single day and the complainant keeps on complaining to the company.
Whereas the company never acted as was warranted, upon the complaints made by the complainant.
Whereas the company representatives also harassed so much to the complainant and never replied on first or second call and the complainant had to continuously make follow ups for her complaints and after long delay, the complaints of the complainant was attended.
Whereas lastly it was on 18-07-2011, the complainant again made a complaint on 0522-3988333 which is registered as complaint No.85169208.
Whereas the service man of the companyr company Mr. Somendra came and checked the purifier and again told that the motor, adapter and filter of the purifier is dead which needs to be replaced.
Whereas the service man Mr. Somendra also told that the said replacements and service charges will cost Rs.10,000/-, which required to be paid by the complainant.
Whereas the company had installed an old and used purifier at the place of the complainant which did not work properly for even a single day.
Whereas action of the companyr office as well as of the companyr agent is utter violation and contrary to the fair business practices.
Whereas by the companyr said act, the complainant has to suffer a great mental agony and harassment because of the reasons mentioned in foregoing paragraphs.
Whereas the company being a prestigious and international brand, hopefully the company would live up to fair practice and will not force the complainant, like she is being done in present case to proceed further with a legal action.
Whereas the harassment committed by the company, needs to be compensated adequately or else the complainant would have no option other than to approach the appropriate Forum for redressal of her grievance under the relevant provisions of law.
