I am Harsh Chugh, a resident of Delhi, my complaint is as follows :

I bought a T-shirt from a store named Massimo Dutti located at Unit NO. G-02(d)+3+4 GF & Unit No. F-03 FF, Select city walk, Plot No. A-3 & P1-B District Centre, Saket, New Delhi- 110017 ( As mentioned in Bill). MRP (maximum retail price) on the T-Shirt tag was Rs.1,390 (inclusive of all taxes), which I again confirmed with one of the executive at the store. However, when I was at the counter for making the payment, I was told that the price would be Rs.1,590 and was further told that the price has been increased by the company above Maximum Retail price(MRP). When I asked questions upon this issue he told him that you have to pay Rs.1,590 and nothing can be done. Finally, he deducted an amount of Rs.1,590 instead of Rs.1,390 which was above the MRP, as this incident took place around the time when the store was about to shut down. As per Indian laws, (Consumer Protection Act & Legal Metrology Act and rules) the act of charging above the MRP is illegal and hence, punishable and also liable for fine under the above act and rules. For this grievance, I have already mailed the company two-three times with an invoice on their official website as well as on their email id on 27th of July 2020 ( same day when i purchased the T-shirt), however, neither any action has been taken by them till now nor they have replied to my mail. Also, I have lodged a complaint for the same with the National Consumer helpline having grievance no. 2143157. With all hope that you would look into this brazen act committed by the company and would take necessary legal actions. I have also submitted a complaint in Indian metrological department but no intimation of any action have been given to despite regular reminders to them. Now I am writing this complaint to you in hope that some action would be taken against them. Copy of the product with tag, MRP tag and invoice (Bill) is attached for your reference
