Complaint Details
I have faced a fraudulent from HDFC ERGO recently. Below are the details.
Policy number:- 2825100851385200
Policy was opened in August,2020 on behalf of my parents- Mr.Tapan Gupta, Mrs.Rinku Gupta
Everything was going smooth till November,2020 and then my credit card expired so I mailed them to update my account with new card details. Below is the snippet of it. (complete mail communication attached as ‘Communication_HDFC_Dec-19,2020.pdf’).They authenticated that its updated also.
In January,2021 they didn’t deduct the EMI and I asked them to share link to pay EMI which they haven’t at all. All they say is they will revert back to me in 2-3days but none reverts back. All mail communication attached.
Somehow I managed to get in for January month and I asked them again to update my card details.
To my surprise again in February month same thing happened and I again started follow up and all I get mail is to wait for 2-3days and no one replies.
Added to my distress they mails me on March,2nd that policy is closed because of non payment of EMI. I couldn’t understand how should I pay EMI if they don’t deduct from card or send link or provide any other choice.
I have reached to there grievance cell also but they also says they cant help me and my complete money is digested by them stating that EMI is not received (attached letter received)
Even I tweeted also but all I get reply is either they are looking into the issue or they cant do anything as EMI wasn’t paid so policy is closed engulfing my hard earned money.
I am a very common citizen of INDIA with very less income and I did this policy for my parents who are at 64 and 54 years of age. Now my complete money is engulfed stating reason which I wasn’t at fault. Also they never bothered to send any insurance card even. How will I take care of my parents if suddenly some medical emergency comes up?
Please do the needful to help me to resolve this case. My details below for further communication.
