I had a flight scheduled from Hyderabad to Amsterdam via London on 15th January 2021 at 07:20.
British airways representatives told me on 14th January afternoon that I will not be able to board the flight on 15th January because I do not have a Dutch passport and it was Cleartrip who made a mistake by booking my ticket. This wrong information from Cleartrip has cost me a lot, both financially and emotionally. When I checked with Cleartrip, I was asked to convert my existing BA ticket to an open ticket. I did that and the same was confirmed by Cleartrip by email received on 14th January at 6:17pm stating that my open ticket is valid up to April 2022. I had to book a new flight with KLM which cost me Rs82,346 for the same journey. Since the last 8 months, Cleartrip is refusing to allow me to use my open ticket or give me a refund. They are not telling me the amount that can be utilized either. They have been harassing me constantly by keeping my call on hold for extremely long periods and talking in a rude manner. They lie that they tried calling me on my phone number whereas I have not received any call. Last week they sent me an email stating that the refund amount is Rs 0 whereas the refund amount should be approximately Rs 30,000. I have attached all the email communication with Cleartrip in the supporting documents. I have also attached the additional ticket I had to book with KLM. I request you to please help me in getting my money back from Cleartrip, who has harassed and cheated me. It is because of Cleartrip I spend the additional Rs 82,346. Additionally, stringent action should be taken against them for playing with people during such tough covid times.
