Sub: PNR No KH2HYK-SG of SPICEJET

Dear Sirs,

I wish to bring to your kind notice of the indifferent and callous attitude of the SPICEJET in dealing with its customers. I made a booking on 15-10-2021 for the HYD-DEL Sector journey on 16-10-2021 and return DEL-HYD Sector on 17-10-2021 by paying Rs 11575/-. Pursuant to waiting for the ticket confirmation and frantic efforts in reaching its customer center on phone (which continuously advising me to wait for 43 mts for the answer), its representative stated that the subject PNR number was booked for 06th November and return on 7th November 2021 owing to system failure instead of journey dates booked by me. This conversation could be verified on IVR recording by SPICEJET. I requested for rescheduling and she, on checking with her seniors, advised me for fresh booking after cancelling the booking on the subject PNR number. I in fact pleaded that it was not my fault and she should help me for rectification in rescheduling the dates as per original booking.

Left with no choice, I cancelled the ticket and travelled on Indigo flight on 16th October 2021. I was informed that an amount of Rs 4877/- was only admissible for refund after deducting cancellation charges.

I respectfully submit that it was a system failure at SPICEJET and for no fault of mine, I was penalized with cancellation charges and despite my continuous follow up with SPICEJET nodal Officer and Appellate Authority, the amount of Rs 4877/- was only refunded withholding Rs 6698/- towards cancellation charges till date.

I brought the above to the notice of Appellate Authority, DGCA for redressal and the SPICEJET continue to state rejecting the refund in full and payment of balance Rs 6698/- which has been withheld for no fault of mine.

It is requested accordingly for directing the SPICEJET for refund of Rs 11575/- received by them in full for booking the journey on the dates at their whims and fancy stating system failure causing irretrievable loss in terms of agony to the customer.
