Complaint Details
Misleading Cash Back offer:Complaint Description The Co. came with the offer which was SMS it said 'BONUS Recharge Offer on AIRTEL DIGITAL TV!Recharge your ID 3002231624 with Rs.760 and get Rs.800! Cashback within 24hrs.offer Valid 27th-30th Dec.ONLY.Hurry!' The same offer was displayed on TV also through message send to subscribers. In response to the offer I recharged my account by Rs.760/- through net banking & my Bank A/C was debited with the amount on 28/12/2010. " (8-Dec-2010 TO TRANSFER INB BHARTI CELLULAR AIRTEL Payments MSBI0122444942IG36888284 TRANSFER TO 31014960840 BILLDESK TRANSACTION A 760.00 )". On the next day I was shocked to check that the co. has credited my account with Rs. 40 extra apart from the Rs.760 the amount with which I recharged. There was no cash back of Rs.800/- The interpretation of the offer by company is Recharge by Rs.760 & get a cash back of Rs.800/- but the co. has cheated by crediting just Rs.40/ to my account. The offer is not just misleading but has resulted in cheating many consumers like me. This is not only violating my rights as consumer but also unethical on the part of reputed business group of India.
