We had a dinner reservation at alfresco restaurant at the lalit gran eastern Kolkata at 9:30 pm on 11/08/2022.dinner reservation by Mr Sukhendu Ghosh.During the dinner my mother lost a gold ear ring with a Ruby in the middle and diamonds around.we only realized the loss after reaching home when we saw it missing in the right ear and we immediately called the hotel, they mentioned that the restaurant was closed and we enquire next day morning.I emailed the hotel and the manager the same night but did not receive any response.then my father visited the hotel and suggested the hotel authorities to check the cctv footage the next day to which the hotel kept on insisting that we did not wear the ear rings in the first place as it’s not clearly visible in the footage and that we might have lost it elsewhere and responded my email that they will check if they find it on 12/08/2022.It was an anniversary gift both the ear rings costed 50000 almost 5 yrs back from PC Chandra Jewelers in Kolkata.the correct valuation can be easily checked with the jewelers as I still have one ear ring of the pair.Please help if anything can be done on this matter.If it would have been in any local restaurant we might have lost all hopes but this is not expected from a 5 star hotel.My mother is 75 years of age.we just took her out of the house on 11th for the dinner we did not visit any other place.we travelled via our own car and not public transport.we already checked the car throughly before reaching out to the hotel.I raised a compaint id 3746120 at consumerhelpline.gov.in but they were not able to help me and suggested me to check with the hotel after a month which I did immediately after loosing my earings
