I am a privileged customer of IDFC first bank. On 29th April 2023, I attempted to withdraw Rs 10,000 using my IDFC debit card (***5592) from the ATM of Bank of Baroda, Chandavarkar road, Matunga east branch. The amount was deducted from my account (Transaction ID 311914010148). However, the ATM didnot dispense the cash. I raised an ATM transaction dispute telephonically (Request No 1051316555) on 29th April 2023. Multiple followups were done by me telephonically on 6th, 13th, 15th and 19th May 2023. I even spoke to Ms Muruga Selvi from the escalation team who assured me that the issue is resolved and the amount will be reverted back to my account. However, on Saturday, 20th May 2023, the team reverted via mail saying
"We would like to inform you that your case has been referred to our concern team under Case id - 1049415311, where chargeback as well as pre arbitration level dispute is rejected by acquiring bank.
Again a dispute was raised on my request (Request No 1051537075 dated 22nd May 2023). But the same has been closed arbitrarily by IDFC first bank without intimating me.
This raises suspicions that no followup has been done in this regard.
As a customer of the bank, I am dissatisfied with the action taken and demand that the bank take the necessary steps to see that the amount of Rs 10,000 which was wrongly deducted is reverted back to my account
