Sir,
I have purchased a Water Purifier (electric supply UV Type)made by M/s Eureka Forbes, from M/s Vijay Sales, Mumbai vide Invoice No. 170 dated 14.07.2010 for the cost of Rs. 2990/-. At the time of purchase it was assured by the seller that some free services will be provided by M/s Eureka Forbes. But, I am sorry to say that after purchase, no one came for the said free services. However, from the month of May end the purifier suffers from some electricity supply failure problem frequently. Very first, I was in opinion that there is problem in electricity supply from the main power supply socket and then I get it replaced/ attended, but the problem of switching off the purifier was still present. Then I made a complaint on customer care number of the M/s Eureka Forbes and the reference no. is 85384527 dt. 22.08.2011 but no response was received from M/s Eureka Forbes. Thereafter I made a online complaint vide web service request no. e085b7d853d7 on dated 27.08.2011. Then someone came to attend the same. He told me that the main circuit board has been burnt-out and need to be replaced one, which cast Rs. 1,500/-. I requested to M/s Eureka Forbes to repair the purifier free of cost as the repairing cost is very high compare to the actual cost of purifier and the same was considered by them as informed to me by M/s Eureka Forbes, thereafter someone came to attend the purifier and left unattended and without saying anything and in dismantled condition i.e. the screw bolts are also not fixed by him. Thereafter several correspondences made by me with the company but no response is received till date.
Sir, I feel cheated as I have purchased the purifier only on brand name and the advertisements made by M/s Eureka Forbes through the media time to time. It is a type of crime if the company does not take responsibility of failure of their product which bears by us, the poor consumers.
I also want to know the complaint percentage of this company compare to the sales and what is their average product life and how much it costs per year.
You are therefore requested to look into the matter and take the necessary action accordingly.
