Since 2023, this builder has been misleading buyers, including myself, about the quality of the units they sold. Within the same project, when VA and VB rows show hardly a crack in year 3 but VE row is cracking, crumbling, seeping, sinking and leaking after only year one, you know there is a major difference in quality.
And they charged us more for VE than for VB so obviously this was a major ripoff! A filing was made with TN RERA back in April 2024 but more than 2 years later, only the most basic fixes have been ordered. This is owing to a campaign of misinformation from this Respondent, Sai UVR. The order must clearly cover repairs to any and all defects raised during the RERA case. Since my initial filing with TN-RERA, I have made the case for compensation - even directly to this Respondent - in the more than 2 years since that time, that case has been made even more compelling by ongoing misconduct of the Respondents. One of many examples: in my initial filing with the Authority, when the builder refused cooperation, I showed clear photos of an incomplete portion of the property. Somehow, the errant builder changed that into some aesthetic about wall-hung toilets. Show me one aspect of any filing I made where I even mentioned anything resembling this? Yet despite the chartered engineer confirming this major and serious defect, the learned Authority somehow fell for this cheap trick of the Respondent. Why? Isn't the Hon'ble Authority supposed to be experienced with such insincere tactics on the part of a predatory promoter?
The Respondent has been caught in all kinds of such misdeeds - and without significant and landmark compensation owed by them, they will continue to abuse their buyers and the system as they have done in over a dozen instances I mentioned in my rejoinder... any such compensation, long overdue, should be as a partial or full refund of the purchase price for misrepresentation, malpractice and blatant misconduct on the part of this predatory promoter.
