Respected Sir/Madam,
I wish to lodge a formal consumer complaint against MakeMyTrip and the concerned bus operator for gross deficiency in service, misleading representation, and the inconvenience caused to me and my family during our journey.

At the time of booking, the ticket clearly mentioned Tasgaon, Sangli as my confirmed dropping point. I booked this ticket in good faith based on the information displayed by MakeMyTrip.
However, during the journey, the bus operator informed me that the bus would not travel to Tasgaon and that its actual last stop was Vita, Sangli, which is approximately 30 kilometres before my booked destination.
When I questioned the operator about how a ticket could be sold for Tasgaon when the bus did not operate there, I was informed that this had happened due to a "technical issue." The operator refused to accept any responsibility or provide any solution.
I was travelling with my wife, my two minor children aged 1 year and 4 years, and multiple bags of luggage.
I repeatedly requested the bus driver, bus operator, and the travelling agency to arrange an alternative vehicle from Vita to Tasgaon since the error was entirely on their part. Unfortunately, my requests were ignored, and the bus left us stranded at Vita.
As a result, I had no option but to arrange private transportation at my own expense. I had to pay ₹600 to hire another vehicle to travel from Vita to Tasgaon.
I immediately reported this issue to MakeMyTrip while I was still travelling, and a complaint was registered under Request ID: 23706875408806592. Despite raising the complaint during the journey, no immediate assistance or alternate transportation was provided.
I submit that this amounts to:
Deficiency in service.
Misrepresentation of the actual destination while selling the ticket.
Unfair trade practice by selling tickets for a destination that the bus does not serve.
Mental harassment and inconvenience caused to me and my family, including two young children.
Financial loss due to the additional transportation expenses incurred because of the service failure.
I respectfully request the Hon'ble Consumer Authority to direct the opposite parties to:
Reimburse the additional transportation charges of ₹600 incurred by me.
Refund an appropriate portion of the bus fare for failure to provide the booked service.
Award reasonable compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience, hardship, and deficiency in service suffered by me and my family.
Direct MakeMyTrip and the concerned bus operator to rectify their booking system so that tickets are not sold for destinations that are not actually served.
Take appropriate action against the concerned parties to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
