Complaint Details
This is regarding three premium TTK Prestige products. Two of these are brand-new purchases that failed within three weeks, and the third is a premium hard-anodized product failing well before its warranty period.
To my deep disappointment, your authorized retail dealer has flatly refused to honor the warranties, demonstrating a complete lack of accountability for manufacturing defects.
1. Product & Purchase Details:
• Item 1: Prestige Ceraglide Ceramic Non-Stick Tava (280mm)
• Warranty: 1-Year | Purchase Date: 25th June 2026
• Dealer: Koppal Society Limited, Mulund West
• Item 2: Prestige Ceraglide Ceramic Deep Kadai (2.5 Litre)
• Warranty: 1-Year | Purchase Date: 25th June 2026
• Dealer: Koppal Society Limited, Mulund West
• Item 3: Prestige Durastone Kadai (Hard Anodized, 6-Layer Coating)
• Warranty: 2-Year | Purchase Date: 26th July 2025
• Dealer: Prestige Xclusive / Authorized Dealer, Thane
2. Adherence to Warranty Guidelines & Product Care:
Before detailing the issues, I must emphasize that I have meticulously used and maintained all three products in strict compliance with the care and usage guidelines provided in the Prestige warranty card manuals:
• I have strictly avoided high-heat settings, using only low-to-medium flame.
• I have used only recommended wooden or silicone spatulas to protect the surfaces.
• I have never subjected hot pans to cold water (avoiding thermal shock) and have only washed them after they have fully cooled down using mild, non-abrasive liquid soap and soft sponges.
3. Specific Defects
A. Prestige Ceraglide Tava (Severe Non-Stick Failure & Residue)
From the very first week of use, basic dosa batter began persistently sticking to the center. The attached image (Ceraglide NStick Tava.jpeg) was taken by me at my home to document this failure. It shows massive, charred, black residue permanently baked onto the center of the ceramic surface during a normal, light cooking session.
When I presented this complaint to the dealer at Mulund today (July 15), the staff attempted to dismiss my claim by drowning the pan in an excessive amount of oil to force-flip a dosa in the shop. Even though they managed to flip it with that excessive grease, the tawa remained heavily stained with residue in the shop, proving that the ceramic release coating has completely failed.
B. Prestige Ceraglide Kadai (Exterior Paint Peeling / Adhesion Defect)
The deep blue exterior paint coating of this brand-new Kadai has already begun bubbling and peeling off in multiple distinct spots, exposing the bare metal underneath (attached image: Ceraglide NStick Kadai.jpeg). This is a clear manufacturing curing defect where the outer paint failed to bond to the metal body.
The Mulund dealer flatly refused to accept this claim today, using the evasive excuse that the warranty "only covers the inner coating and not the external paint." Paint peeling off a premium utensil within three weeks of standard domestic use is a manufacturing flaw, and denying a claim based on this is highly deceptive.
C. Prestige Durastone Kadai (Premature Surface Degradation & Sticking)
This premium Durastone Kadai was purchased from your Thane outlet and carries a 2-year warranty. While its performance was initially good, it has begun failing at the 11-month mark. Food has started sticking heavily to the bottom.
As you can see in the attached image (Durastone Kadai.jpg), although the physical coating is technically intact, the cooking surface has severely deteriorated—the color has turned visibly lighter in the center, and the non-stick release properties have died out. A product marketed as "tough as stone" with a 2-year warranty is expected to maintain its performance; losing its non-stick utility in less than a year is unacceptable.
