Continuation of Complaint No. 0157231/2026
After I registered the complaint with the Council, a technician visited my residence and replaced the motor on 18 June 2026. However, within two days, a new issue of water leakage started. We immediately informed the technician, but he assured us that it was a normal occurrence and that the leakage would stop on its own after some time. The leakage did not occur for the next 3–4 days, so we relied on his assurance.
Unfortunately, the leakage started again. As a result, we raised another service request with Pureit on 29 June 2026 (Complaint No. 51154289). The same technician visited on 30 June 2026, inspected the purifier, carried out some work, and once again stated that the leakage was normal and would stop automatically. Based on his assurance, we waited.
However, after another 8–10 days, the leakage reappeared. We waited an additional 4–5 days, hoping that the issue would resolve as the technician had claimed. Since it did not, we lodged another complaint on 17 July 2026 (Complaint No. 51294760). This time, we specifically requested the customer support team to assign a different technician, and they agreed. We also requested an immediate visit. Despite this, the same technician was assigned and visited only on 23 July 2026. During this visit, he informed us that the filter now needed to be replaced.
The sequence of events raises serious concerns about the quality of service provided. The technician repeatedly dismissed the leakage as a normal issue instead of diagnosing and resolving the root cause. As a result, the matter remained unresolved until after the product warranty expired on 4 July 2026. It appears that the necessary corrective action was delayed until the warranty period had lapsed, leaving me to bear the consequences of an issue that was reported well within the warranty period.
The first service request was raised on 24 May 2026, and despite nearly two months of repeated complaints and multiple technician visits, the problem remains unresolved. This reflects a lack of diligence and commitment on the part of Pureit in providing proper after-sales service and resolving the complaint within a reasonable time.
Service Request History:
24 May 2026 – Complaint No. 50929206
29 May 2026 – Complaint No. 50953515
29 June 2026 – Complaint No. 51154289
17 July 2026 – Complaint No. 51294760
In view of the above, I respectfully request the Council to take note of the repeated failure of Pureit to resolve the issue despite multiple complaints raised during the warranty period. I request that the company be directed to rectify the defect permanently or provide an appropriate replacement, without imposing any charges on me, as the issue was reported well before the warranty expired and remained unresolved due to their inadequate service.
I also request the Council to take appropriate action to ensure that I am not made to suffer the consequences of delays and deficiencies in service on the part of the company.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to a fair resolution of this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Shinto Sreedharan
