Complaint Details
On the 10th of January 2012, I had purchased a Tata Walky ESN HEX 4654FAEE and the no. alloted was 22-65615284 along with a Photon Plus MEID:A0000033468917 having no. 9223134837 and Account No. 980614930 vide cheque nos. 400505 for Rs. 1299/- and 400506 for Rs. 1199/- drawn on HDFC Bank Ltd. respectively from Sky Net Telecom (Authorised Distributors) Shop No. 19, Ghanshyam Tower, M.G. Road, Next to Charwak Hotel, Borivli (E), Mumbai 400066 represented by Mr. Sagan Derra (Mob: 9833093348) who visited me at my residence.
Mr. Sagan Derra convinced me that the Photon Plus that he was giving was a corporate version which was only given to 12 select people in this area and was faster than the Photon that I was using at present and also convinced me that if I purchased the Photon Plus then the Walky was provided free of cost but I had to only pay the TRAI charges.
I had handed over xerox copies of my PAN card, Driving Licence and Senior Citizen card along with the Customer Application Forms (CAF 04323905 and 04323906 respectively) to Mr. Sagan Derra on the 10th of January 2012. On the 18th of January 2012, I received the Walky and the Photon Plus from Sky Net Telecom vide Bill No. 11/102421. Kindly check the CAFs columns 17 & 18 which show the documents I have handed over as proof of Identity and proof of Address. I would like to know how both these instruments were activated at your end if you had not received my Documents as on the 30th of January, I received an SMS on the Walky saying your address could not be verified nd the Walky as well as the Photon Plus were deactivated immediately. When I complained to the Customer care no. +91-9220000121 that the Walky was not functioning, I was told that an Engineer would be sent to verify the problem and I would have to bear the charges of Rs. 100/- which I refused. I lodged a complaint on 31.01.12 and 01/02/12 complaint nos. 419913 and 420338 respectively. I received a mail saing I would be contacted in 6 business hours and a solution would be provided which has not happened. On 1/2/12 I also spoke to Mr. Subramaniam (Customer care no) who said he would get back to me but that too has not happened. After that I contacted Mr. Vishnu Purhit from Sky Net Telecom thrice who would just disconnect the call. Next I spoke to Ms. Smita from Sky Net Telecom and informed her that under these circumstances wher a Customer has not been provided service despite paying for the same, I am compelled to return both the Walky and the Photon Plus and seek a full refund for deficiency in service. I am disgusted at your Customer Service and request you to kindy refund me the amounts paid at the earliest.
