Complaint Details
I have an Aquaguard ST2000 and has been using the same for almost ten years.I got it serviced regularly and in fact i had a yearly service contract with the company for many years and the last one ended in the begining of 2010.We did not renew it as we decided to go for normal service.In july 2010,it stopped working and i called the service center and the promptly came for service.I was shocked when the service person informed me that we have to change the circuit board, fluorescent lamp besides the filter and carbon.I was surprised as the circuit board and the fluorescent lamp had been replaced by the company during the previous warranty period.
Moreover,it seemed that he had made up his mind to charge me a hefty sum before looking at the machine.I complained to the office in Pondicherry but of no avail.
Due to some personal reasons i was out of Pondicherry and came back few days back.The first thing i did was to purchase a new filter.Few days i tried to check out the Aquaguard again.To my surprise it stated working quite normally.
I am both glad and shocked at the same time.The local service center had quoted me a bill of RS.2700 for rectifying the same.
This is JUST PLAIN LOOT.
