Complaint Details
I purchased a Nokia C7 handset from Nokia authorized dealer at Thane on 18/6/2011.

Being a Nokia hardcore customer I was excited about the product, but, my excitement was short lived within a months time as the mobile camera started clicking photographs automatically without initializing. Nokia care centre at Thane confirmed it as a hardware problem and dispatched it to New Delhi office/factory for repairs on 16th july 2011. Mr. Krishnan at Andheri office of Nokia care was kind enough and had taken personal interest to get it repaired in a months time. The faulty hardware component was replaced and software upgraded. The handset functioned well till 8th May'12 it started malfunctioning erratically the same way again. Earlier NCC at Thane suspected it to be a battery problem but finally concluded it to be the same hardware problem. I had requested for replacement of handset as it was a repetitive hardware problem. The warranty is due to expire in June 2012.
A a layman I understand frequent breakdown of hardware reflects poor quality standard of a product by a internationally acclaimed company like Nokia. My request to get the get the handset replaced was turned down by Mr. Prashant at Andheri office of Nokia. Request the authorities to kindly replace my faulty handset at the earliest.
