I booked hotel reservation in Hotel Sun-n-Sand Pune through www.makemytrip.com for an official duty. But to my shock the hotel refused to make invoice in my name and said that invoice will be in name of makemytrip and I have to take invoice from makemytrip.
Now for reimbursement of the amount I should have the invoice of the hotel and not of makemytrip. Why should the hotel not make an invoice in the name of guest itself. Make my trip was supposed to just act an agency to manage a booking on my behalf. When the actual payer is the customer, the invoice should be given to customer.
Moreover, at the time of booking they gave me two options of discounts in the form of a E-coupon code (for Rs500/- Discount) and a Deal code (10% cashback for SBI Card users.) Now they are refusing the cashback saying that two promotions cannot be clubbed together. Then why they misguided us by permitting to enter both the codes and accepting both the codes in the website. And if they had to reject one of the codes why did they reject the one with higher discount.
If I try to raise this issue through complaint section of their website, they have 4 steps. In step one staff at lower level deals with disposal. When I got negative answer for my problems, I tried to raise the issue to step 2. But the website shows error in that. That means they don’t want the complaint to be raised at higher level. So I requested by mail also to raise this matter to higher echelon of the company. But I got no response.
Please tell me how can you help in this matter regarding getting hotel invoice in name of guests and regarding their refusal to give promised discount. Why should they use the word cashback to lure the customer and then later refuse the same. they should instead give instant discounts only. Cashback system is misused as fraud by such companies.
