Dear Sir


I P.Venugopala Sarma aged 72 years having vodafone PREPAID connection for my mobile 9449616891.


I intended to go to CHINA with my wife and approached vodafone shop at HSR Layout. I told one Mr. Williams about my china trip and enquired for International roaming facility with them. He told that it is available and asked me to pay Rs. 1500/ in my account. He gave me plans an amount of Rs. 673/= will be deducted as activation charges and shown me how to activate the package. He also informed me that I have to activate International roaming 24 hrs before reaching Beijing China and requested me activate at Bangalore International Airport so that it will be activated soon I reach Beijing.


I have done as per his instructions on 30th May 2014 at Airport and my Internation Roaming facility was actived in 24 hrs of activation and an amount of Rs. 673/= was deducted from my account.. How ever I was unable to make any call from any where in China (Beijing and Shanghai). I could not contact even by sms as ONLY EMERGENCY CALLS was displayed whenever I I tried to call Bangalore India.


I had to spen agonising week while in China for lack of communication by Vodafone to communicate our welfare to my kith and kin at bangalore. Like wise my kith and kin were also undergone mental tension for lack of communication from us.


Soon after my return on 6th June 2014 I went to Vodafone shop and met Mr. William s and one Mr. selvaraj. There I told them that I failed to get roaming facility. On checking the web site of Vodafone it is learnt that CHINA is not included in 34 Countries listed for International roaming and promised that Rs.673/= will be credited to my account. From 6th June 2014 I went to Vodafone store daily and was told that they have not got any reply so far for their mail. Today 10th June 2014 The Manager of the store flatly refused that it is their mistake and CHINA is included for IR for PREPAID customers also and in the list of 34 countries. On the contrary I was told that I did not do proper sttings. This is nothing but to cover their mistake. kindly look into the matter and do needful.
