Complaint Details
Dear Sir,


1. I am a tax paying citizen of India. My name is Amar Nath Pandey S/o Ram Chandra Pandey resident of Manas Path, Guzri Bazar, Patna City, Patna-800008, Bihar.
2. I have an icicidirect.com A/C with userid AMARNPXH which is linked with my ICICI Bank A/C No. 625901129145 (Patna branch, Bihar). I use my ICICIDIRECT.COM a/c to purchase online share/MF/insurance etc.
3. I placed an order to purchase ICICI lombard Family Floater health insurance online through my ICICIDIRECT.COM demat A/C on 19-12-10 for period of two years for which the premium amount of Rs 13086 was allocated. This was the total premium for (Two adults + two kids) for two years at the time of application which was automatically calculated by the system.
4. The order book in the insurance section of my ICICIDIRECT.COM demat a/c displayed till 01-02-11, that my application is pending since 19-12-10 with application no. F000005501 (Annexure I). The amount allocated for the purchase of health insuarance was also blocked with the icicidirect.com.
5. As the amount was not debited from my ICICI bank a/c I requested the authorities (my relationship manager Sri Prakash Kasera and the Branch Manager Mr. Srivastava) of icicidirect.com, boaring road , Patna branch office to do the needful & release my blocked amount for purchasing health insurance offline.
6. I even contacted the authorities of ICICI Lombard several times through phone and e-mail but their response was very bad and did not tried to solve my problem even after issuing me mail interaction ID two times.(Annexture II & III).
7. On 02-02-11, I was surprised to see in my ICICI bank statement that Rs 13086 has been debited from my a/c to ICICI Lombard A/C (Serial No. 7 of Annexure IV). I checked the order book staus of my icicidirect.com insurance section and found that the staus “pending” has been changed to “executed” with policy no F00005501 and insurance period from two year to one year(Annexture V).
8. I once again contacted to the customer care of ICICI Lombard on their tool free no. but they were not able to locate my policy either through the policy no. or my debited amount.
9. As I have tried my level best to sort out the problem with the authorities of ICICIDIRECT.COM and ICICI LOMBARD but I failed & feeling very much harassed. I think these companies are duping many a person by such modus operandi but no one dare to come out to complain.
10. I have approached various authorities and also sent e-mail to ICICI LOMBARD & ICICI DIRECT.COM for help but surprisingly it went into vein. As a last hope , I am bringing these facts before you to kindly issue suitable direction to the Authorities of ICICIDIRECT.COM & ICICI LOMBARD so that necessary and fast action be taken urgently for cancellation of the policy & release of my hard earned money along with interest as the amount was blocked since 19-12-2010). And also ICICIDIRECT.COM & ICICI LOMBARD be heavily fined in order to deter them to make such fraud further with other innocent citizens of India. ICICIDIRECT.COM & ICICI LOMBARD may also be punished as per rule of law.
