MY EMEAIL TO THE CHAIRMAN TATA:
Dear Mr Chairman
I wrote to you on the 7th on my Tata Docomo purchase; briefly:
1. I bought a Tata Docomo Wi Fi on April 19, 2014. It is supposed to connect 5 devices wirelessly to the internet at speeds of 6 MBPs.
2. It became "live" on the 22nd and I found it was not usable at my home - in the middle of Chennai. I called the Tata Docomo and was assured on phone an engineer would visit on the 24th. On 24th I was told 25th. And 26th....
3. I sent more mails and I was constantly told by mail that " the problem would be fixed in 48 hours"
4. After some tens of mails, a technician visited my home on the 3rd of July; that is after a good 70 days. He confirmed that the speeds were slow and the device wont work.
5 I sent a mail to you on the 7th of July;14th July now 21 July. .
6. A Tata Docomo network team visited me on the 9th of July and found that the speeds were 140 KBps ( against the possible 6 MBps) - that is about 2%. The device just did not work.
7. I got a call from Tata Docomo confirming this on the 10th; the person, Mr Vinod, tried telling me that I was perhaps in the midst of tall buildings. I said that I was on the top floor and there are no major structures around. Then I said that they should return my money ( at the least - the person said ' will get back".
No one has. ( JULY 21ST)
