I had booked a Maruti Swift desire from Rajalakshmi Cars. It is a 2013 model only and they gave me a discount for Rs.30000/-. I booked the car on 12 february 2014 and the full amount was paid on 27 March 2014. They first took their own time to register the car and said excuse after excuse and when I finally asked what was the problem why they are not registering it they told a shocking answer that they had mistakenly paid the amount in Form 20 in my Husband's name when the car has to be registered in my name because the Loan from the bank was provided in my name. I had already told them and even the Bank has got a acknowledgement signed by them that they should register it in my name(proof is with us)but inspite they have booked it in my husband's name because the receipt bill for token advance was in his name.
They told me that they would settle it in two weeks release the vehicle and register it in my name but months have passed and still no answer from them. I have approached the bank which provided the loan they say they had send enough letters corresponding to delivery of the vehicle but they have not responded the AGM of the Bank spoke to them but still no answers from them. I have now started to take legal proceedings against them. They have caused me money, time delay and mental agony, never respond to calls when they are responsible to call and tell me the status. I have paid them Six Lakhs and Sixty Eight Thusand. Rs.6,68,000/- what i get nothing but mental agony and Iam paying the EMI for the fifth month now for what I have not got. And to say more the model of the car is 2013 when I booked it was February 2014 and when the amout was paid it was March 2014 but now it is July 2014 the value of the car is much depreciated since then but they would have made good money and gained interest with my money.
I request the forum to take this matter seriously and do the proper thing needed for me to have the vehicle delivered. Also I am writing this so that no more people should be cheated like this by Car dealers.
