Complaint Details
I have visited Furniture Palace located at Banaswadi Bangalore on 15/01/2013 and i decided to buy few furnitures for an amount of Rs.1,07,000. I was given an estimate bill and i was asked to pay an advance with a promise that if i do not require the furniture at any point of time i can get the initial deposit back. Based on the promise from the manager incharge Mr.Kittu I had paid an advance of Rs.5000 through debit card. The expected delivery date was 15 Apr 2013. Also the furnitures which i had ordered was not customised . All the furnitures i requested were part of their display only. After a month i visited them in person and asked if i can postpone the delivery by another 3-4 months for which they agreed.Later on within 2 weeks i got a call from them to pay the balance and due to some personal reasons i decided to cancel my order and instead of paying the balance i had requested them to refund my money back. They answered that they need to check with their boss and later return the money once he confirms. But since there was no update from them i again visited them in person and met Mr.Vinay who was the incharge then. He also said the owner is unavailable and once he is available he will check with him and refund my money by online transfer.But till date there was no reply from them. SO i sent a email on 7th april 2014 detailing all these. I got a reply from them that they cant refund and i can take the delivery of the items by paying the remaining amount for which i replied that i no longer require them and asked fro refund. I got a call from them and they replied they cant refund and i can take the goods on paying back the balance amount.I had sent them a mail that if they do not refund the booking amount if i can take any goods from them worth Rs.5000 from them. There has been no reply from them ever since i got a call from them.I have the estimate bill, Debit card print in slip (though it has faded) and the email reply from them . Kindly help me in getting my booking amount back.
