I Have written this below mail to exideautocare@vishnusolutions.biz( as provided by their customer care no. )
Dear Sir/Madam,

This is to inform you that I have purchased an exide battery on 18/1/2013 from
Exide Centre - Durgapur and after 18 months( free replacement warranty is
for 18 month) & 9 day, i.e, on 27.07.2014 I found your battery is
useless/not working as informed by the battery seller (exide centre -
durgapur) and to my surprise this is not the first time I have to face this
problem prior to this also I have faced same situation were I have to
buy/replace a new battery with the old one just after expiring the warranty
period. Now I can make two things out of all this that whether you all are
preparing your batteries having a life only upto warranty period or every I
am very unfortunate to face this situation. I had talked to this
regarding the same battery seller (exide centre), Mr. Ashim Chakraborty
- Claim head & also to your Customer Care no. 18001035454 but the same
reply I get from all these people that free replacement warranty will not
be available as it had crossed 18 months but I can get a 25% discount on
current battery price which is comming around Rs 5000/- and can replace the
old battery with new one.Now this is to inform you that it is not
possible each and every time to buy/replace new battery just after expiry
period. It's a humble request please consider my request and avail me the
facility of free replacement or else I have to go by consumer court for the
same this time. Please find the attachment for your reference
