Dear Sir,
I applied for disconnection of my landline telephone number 06544-262260 in writing to
BSNL GM office, Account officer and SDO BSNL gomia office dated 27-11-2007 due to very poor and disturbed service. As per CONSUMERS PROTECTION AND REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES REGULATIONS, 2007 (3 OF 2007) under Right Of Consumer for termination or disconnection of the telephone service Page No- 46, Heading : FAQ - Q.No -10
Q.10 A consumer has made a request for termination (closure) of the service. How long has he to wait? What about rentals and other dues?
Ans. The service provider shall terminate the connection within 7 days. They cannot charge
rental or any other charges beyond the period of 7 days of request for closure made by the
customer. Further, fresh bills shall be raised only after adjustment of the security deposit.
The closure/ termination of service shall not be made conditional upon payment of dues/

But in my case BSNL disconnected my service after one year of receiving my application of termination of service. As per rule and consumer right, BSNL had must terminate my service within 7 days after receiving my applicationition.
After one year BSNL sent me bill of huge amount and force me to pay that is illigal and vilance of their own consumer mannual terms and conditions. Now bill hike due to BSNL fault not my. I was complained many times but always BSNL does not consider my submitted application for termination of telephone service and directly force me to pay outstanding dues. But this outstanding was hike due to BSNL fault. All outstanding due are after requesting for termination of telephone service that is I was applied on 22-11-2007 and due are from 18-12-2007,18-02-2008,18-04-2008 and 18-06-2008.
So please consider my application on the basis of my application for disconnection of service and consumer mannual regulation and outstanding dues dates.
I will be highly oblige for this kind of act.
