Complaint Details
We had ordered Royal L shaped Leather sofa through Furniture Mart India. (www.furnituremartindia.com). The product received was a cheap locally made sofa that was not even close to what was advertised on their website.. Please check the first picture attached here which is what we had ordered and is taken from the company website. The remaining pictures attached with this email are of the sofa that was actually received.
We called and sent them emails complaining about the product and instead of addressing and resolving our complaint, they have stopped taking calls and have even removed the sofa from their website. Following is the website link where the sofa was advertised until yesterday but is removed now -

We paid in full on June 08th and were promised delivery by June 20th. However they did not take our calls nor replied to emails and after lot of frustration over the same the sofa was finally delivered on July 23rd. Upon receiving the sofa it was clear that it is a fraud company that is duping people by showing furniture pictures from some foreign catalogue but after receiving orders, they’re getting a cheap imitation made with a local fabricator. Their sole purpose is to cheat customers that live far and order online.
The product is not even remotely close to what is advertised and pictured on the website. We are writing them emails and calling them but they’re not even taking our calls. The only reply we received was a new number and there was one call to say they will repair the sofa. But the product is a completely different cheap imitation so the prospect of repair does not even arise. We want a return and refund but they’re not responding at all.
I believe I have the right as a consumer to demand a return and refund based on the fact that the product does not comply to the advertised product AT ALL and is instead a cheap locally made imitation. I have the entire thread of emails sent to them which I can provide when needed.
