Complaint Details
Complaint refers to damage caused to my Flat F604 Bathroom tiles & fixtures by Society Plumber during repair of non-existent seepage from my flat. Flat F404 which is Two floors below me, reported seepage in drawing room. Society Plumber wrongly diagnosed the source as my flat F-604’s water Inlet to Bathroom. Flat F504 which is below mine had no such seepage. I showed the Society staff including plumber that seepage is from F704 which is above my flat. However they insisted that my flat water inlet is the root cause & has to be repaired in duct area. However Society Plumber broke the bathroom tiles to locate seepage which was not found. Also the common wall to my drawing room where this water inlet pipe passes through remained dry all these years. Post damage to bathroom tiles, Society refused to restore the bathroom to its original condition. I had to spend my money to get the tiles & new Cistern. Society plumber laid new tiles in a shabby manner as he is not a mason causing further damage to bathroom fittings.
Details of my complaint are listed below in chronological order. I have also attached 14 odd emails written to Society for which I never received any reply. Bathroom pictures are also attached showing the damaged tiles & fixtures.
I seek relief from my Society office bearers namely Chairman & Secretary to enable me to restore my Bathroom to its original condition. Also I seek relief for Inconvenience caused to me & my family due to non-availability of bathroom for almost a month. Relief is also needed towards mental agony & stress experienced in dealing with a non-communicative Chairman & Secretary who are the elected office bearers of the Society which worsened the problems faced by me.
