Complaint Details
Your Ref: ZO/GUW/P&D/211.
Subject: Complaint against your Silchar Branch for not providing the Disclosers of AB on TD Interest Policy and thus paid Rs. 6,058/- less in Interest Amount on Nov. 10, 2003.
Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your e-mail with above mention reference #.
I am in utter dismay for your justification and the rationalization that you have mentioned as an Asst. GM of a Bank's Zonal Office. Again, I would like to bring up the following aspects of dishonest activities of your Silchar Branch regarding the above subject:
1. Why did not your Silchar Branch give me a copy of Allahabad Bank's Disclosers on Term Deposit's Interest Policy in paper at the time when I opened the Term Deposit's?
2. If I have read the above policy at the time of opening of the Deposits, I would have known fully well that after the maturity of the TD's, your Bank will not pay a penny further as Interest.
3. It is the moral obligation of all the Nationalized Banks & their Branches in India to furnish the Terms & Conditions and the Guidelines of each & every transaction, particularly regarding Term Deposits to their new customers. As an Asst. GM, I am certain that you know about this. Did your Branch give me any such Disclosers?

4. How I was supposed to know about your internal policy concerning the Term Deposits Policy? Keeping the customers in dark, no Bank can properly function nor applying the undisclosed policies & hide behind so called CBS environment.
5. Did your Silchar Branch send me any written Maturity Notices (reminders)? No, none!
Your Branch even did not have the common courtesy to give me the Simple Interest on Rs. 70,000/- for 7 months & 18 days. I would again appeal to your worthy office to pay me the due Interest on the overdue period to your earliest.
Thanking you.
Sincerely,
Mr. Partho Chakraborty
