I purchased a 3 burner gas stove from Laxmi Plaza, Mira Road (Est) on 1st August 2014 exchanging my old 3 burner gas stove. The stove is manufacture by Hi-Tech Engineering, Vasai (East). Over and above the price under exchange scheme the dealer also took Rs. 300/- extra saying that they have to make some adjustment on the gas stove as I am using piped gas of MGL.

Upon delivery of the stove it was found that none of the 3 burners were working on the zim mode. Subsequently it was also found that the pipe connecting to one of the burners was broken which caused gas leakage. Also, the support stands were not properly fitting resulting the cooking vessels could not remain evenly on these stands. This causes a serious problem as the vessels will fall while sauting etc.

I approached the dealer to replace the gas stove as there were lot of manufacturing defects. The dealer told me that they have nothing to do with the manufacturing defects and asked me to approach the manufacturers. The representative of manufacturer sent a mechanic who replaced the pipe which was causing gas leakage. I agreed to replace the pipe since it was a danger to life, though I insisted for a replacement since mechanics visited my house 5 times during 15 days from the purchase of the stove. Now the manufacturer says that they will not replace the stove and I should approach the dealer as they have given me a defective piece. The dealer has already told me that they have nothing to do with the replacement.

I request your kind intervention in the matter to get me either full refund or replacement.
