Vodafone charged my father, Rangrao Bhongle, phone no. 9920052599, Rs.5800 for the ISD calls he did not make.
The charges are for 2 calls which is shown as lasting for 32 minutes and 26 minutes to some number is Africa and was charged Rs.3200 and 2600 respectively.
This was brought to the notice of Vodafone, they refused to investigate or co operate on the issue.
After visiting their stores several times they still refused to reverse the charges. A complaint was also sent to the nodal officer and they asked him to pay the fake charges saying they cannot help.
The phone number has since been disconnected by Vodafone but the bills for the months when the number was discontinued are still being sent.
Now we have received a legal notice from Vodafone to pay the fake charges as well as the bills when the number was not even functional.
We would like to place a complaint against Vodafone for this and would appreciate the support of Consumer Complaint Redressal Council.
