Complaint Details
I have attached the bill copy of LED TV purchased from Reliance Retail Ltd dated 31/08/2014. After that product was installed by Mr.Karthik 9585527715 at my house at Valarnagar, Uthangudi, Madurai-625107. He explained remote operations. When I asked him can we connect computer speakers Creative Brand 4.1 he said it can be connected to Headphone out but only 2 speakers can be connected and he himself connected all the connections from SUN DTH to TV and Creative Woofer to TV. I asked him can we connect speakers to Headphone out port he said its Audio Signal only no issues. He sold one liquid spray for Rs.350 for cleaning LED TV. I asked can we apply will it cause no harm? He said you can directly spray and wipe with the cloth. But we didn’t even open that spray. Then he had a paper containing word rcp and he said we have two years extended warranty program you can pay 5600 and get benefited. We said we decide later at the end of first year.TV worked for 5 hours only after installation by him on 7/9/2014.
After that when my parents switched on the TV for seeing a program it worked fine for 7 mins only after that there was no output available from creative speaker only the video was running. Then we waited for nearly 15 mins there was no audio output. We then switched off the TV and switched ON then again Audio was working from creative speaker but again it lasted for 7mins after that no output from my speaker. When i called Karthik the guy who installed the TV he said we wont support Creative Speaker and all We will support only Samsung Speakers, I am driving now call me tomorrow after 11am.Then i selected Audio Speaker as TV speaker and now its working fine. After that i lodged a complaint to Samsung Customer care spoke with 3 executives and finally they registered my complaint for no audio output in my speaker connected to Headphone out of Samsung TV.
Yesterday there was no call from Samsung side. When i approached reliance shop they said we do sales alone we dont service and all. I asked them whether is there any return policy. They said they dont have.
Today a person from Samsung service centre, Madurai called me and enquired about the complaint. I gave full history and the mobile number of Mr.Karthik. The Service centre person replied that this mobile number is not at all in our CUG, somebody else have installed and when i said about liquid spray he adviced me not to use spray because it may affect the LEDs inside and then he ended the call.
Again I called Reliance Showroom Manager number and asked him for a new TV who will install as per your shop policy. He replied only persons of respective Brand Service centre will install and we do only sales. He said i will ask one Reliance Tech Lead to speak to you regarding your complaint. After that i got a call from Reliance Tech Lead Mr.Shanmugam He said that person from my team only has installed your TV.
Again I explained full history to him. He said that Samsung will attend the fault because TV is in warranty. Then I asked him if speaker gone faulty who will replace my creative speakers. He said I can give solution to Samsung TV only but for speakers I cannot. Then I asked you Technician only installed the Speakers ask him to replace or your boss to replace if it is confirmed faulty tomorrow. For a Branded & costlier product why unskilled Technician from Reliance is installing the product or why samsung is allowing Reliance to install the product? We are totally fedup now with this problem.
