Complaint Details
Dear Team,

I would like to enlighten everyone here that I am currently a Vodafone postpaid user (9619866917) & there was some billing issue happened last year during transition from my Individual no to Corporate no.

So below is the sequence of things happened in last one year -
1. July 2013 - I filled an application to convert my no from Individual to Corporate plan.
2. August 2013 - No got converted to corporate plan.
3. September 2013 - September onwards I started receiving calls regarding my no & was asked to make the payment for the month of June, i.e. my last bill under Individual plan.
4. October 2013 - I made the payment, a vodafone representative came to my ofice & collected on behalf of Vodafone (he wasn't a Vodafone employee though)
5. November 2013 - Instead of getting a confirmation regarding my payment of Rs. 3000/-, I got a call from Vodafone/ recovery agency asking for bill amount, this made me suspiscious.
6. December 2013 - I would have received around 10-15 long calls & everytime I explained to the caller that I am not at fault & please check with your agency. I have made the payment already, in response to this I was asked for receipt or payment. I had lost the receipt by that time because I didn't know that this will become an issue & in everyday life also we do not collect all the receipts that we make payments for.
7. January 2014 - Here came January & I was tortured & harrased by Vodafone, but on 18th January I wrote an elaborate mail to Vodafone mentioning the status quo at that time & the mistake done by the agency who collected the payment. I thought in response to mail at least I will get an acknowledgement stating we will interrogate into the matter & will let you.
8. February 2014 - Something unbelievable happened & my father got a call from Vodafone recovery cell & he was called again & again to my surprise despite of my requests to keep him out of all this.
9. March 2014 - I wrote a mail again in February to Vodafone & informed that my family has been involved in this & this should happen but again in March my father received calls & he also told the emplyees that I have already made the payment.
10. April 2014 - I got few calls saying my services will be barred.
11. May 2014 - I cleaned my house & found the receipt somehow & I told the employees when they called again that I made the payment on 10th October 2013.
12. June 2014 - Despite of my confirmations over calls, they kept asking me for the scan copy of the receipt which I denied to share because of a simple logic to check how deep is this loophole is, I wanted to know will they be ever able to retrieve my receipt from their agency or will they kept calling me.
13. Post June 2014 - I received fewer calls & thought various times of filing a consumer complaint.
14. September 2014 - I again have started receiving calls saying that my father will be called until I give them the receipt.

Now I don't have patience to take this anymore & want to file a consumer complaint on below logics -
1. System loophole - There is a big loophole in the payment system of Vodafone, people like me after paying the bill amount are harrased to this extent.
2. Lack of process - There lacks a process of retrieving these kind of important documents from the agencies who work for these companies. There should be someone held accountable for all of this. Despite of me informing these people N number of times they were unable to track it from the agency.
3. Irresponsible behaviour - How can a company like Vodafone appoint such people who doesn't have ettiquettes & mannerism to deal with the consumers. It clearly shows how these departments aren't trained appropriately to deal with such kind of sensitive issues (calling & involving family into these petty matters).

I hereby, want to sue Vodafone into consumer court forum & claim Rs. 10,00,000/- against what all they have done in last one year.

Thanks!
Vallabh Keswani
