Respected Sir,

I am Mayur Punekar, an NRI based in Qatar. I booked a one-way flight tickets for Jetairways through a travel agent in Qatar for Vadodara (BDQ) to DOHA (DOH) via Mumbai (BOM) for 26th October 2014.

Jetairways suddenly canceled Vadodara - Mumbai flight without giving any prior notice and then put some other flight into my travel itinerary which does not make any sense (e.g. my Vadodara to Mumbai flight lands in Mumbai after my Mumbai - Doha flight departs).

I requested Jetairways to change this as it was solely their fault that they cancelled scheduled flight without giving any reason. However, instead of offering me a solution they keep insisting that I need to contact my travel agent to get new ticket.

I am unable to get in touch with my travel agent based in Qatar and as such it is not my travel agents mistake that Jetairways cancelled flight. Also I have to call my travel agent in Qatar which is quite costly. I have no reason to pay for those calls as it was not my fault to begin with.

I feel that airline is treating me unfairly as I have booked ticket through other agent and not through their website or call center.

The menace of sudden cancellation of scheduled flight is quite disturbing to the travelers as airlines cancels them arbitrarily and at any point of time, sometime just a few hours before the departure. Hence I feel that some disciplinary actions should be taken against airlines in this regard so that they at least provide proper alternative flight ticket to the travelers.

Under this circumstances Jetairways should take full responsibility for their acts and immediately issue me a new ticket with proper flight connections.

Hence I request you to look into my problem and direct jetairways to take appropriate action and issue me a new ticket.
