I am ‘Ankur Jain’ permanent resident of Australia and citizen of India, writing this to bring to your notice the illicit practices that are being followed by MakeMyTrip.com a prominent indian travel booking website company. The details of the company are stated below:

As per my understanding and laws in India, both parties sign a contract with terms and conditions at the time of booking any tickets through any channel. The terms and conditions are to be followed by either party failing to which is legal offence.

I got tickets booked with makemytrip through online channel on Thu, 27 Mar 2014 to travel from Brisbane to India and return. Makemytrip offered me a connecting journey as follows:

Terms and condition clearly stating refundable and cancellable.

Since, then there are change in my circumstances and I have shifted to Sydney with my family. Yesterday I got denial from MakeMyTrip to follow terms and conditions, when I called MakeMytrip to cancel my tickets between Brisbane – Sydney on 6th Dec 2014 and Melbourne – Brisbane (3rd Jan 2015). They mentioned that either entire tickets can be cancelled or none. This was nowhere mentioned in their terms and conditions.

Furthermore, At the time of booking every individual flight was displayed as refundable and cancellable. Even on my continuous requests to share the terms and conditions which is blocking them from taking the expected action they are not responding.

I feel like a prey of illicit practices that such companies are following to earn money.

I would request you to intervene in the matter and guide me.
