Complaint Details
I am Suresh ,Mechanical Engineer working in Saudi Arabia.

On suggestion from my wife's student I took CLICK2PROTECT plus term insurance plan (Proposal No.17019756) and completed all the formalities and submitted all the documents during my last visit to India in August 2014.I even received a confirmation mail with registered proposal number(17019756).They even debited first year amount of Rs.10,874/-.When I inquired about any medical requirement,I was told that my case is waived for the same.

The status of the same is shown below ( you also download the DOC file for better view)

1.During second week of August 2014(I do not remember the exact date) I submitted all the self attested documents that were asked by the bank.

having thought that all the formalities have been complaint,I returned to Saudi Arabia on 16th August 2014.

2.But suprisingly I received a mail on August 26th,2014 from Mumbai office customer care that I need to sendprovide the documents !! (Remember there is no metion of medical requirement in the mail)which I have already given to kadavantra branch of Ernakulam HDFC bank.

3.Then again as requested I sent all the scanned copies as advised in the mail on 26-08-2014.

After that no response from HDFCLIFE.....

4.Then tried to register myself with my proposal number and DOB online to enable me check the status of proposal as well as to facilitate for annual payment.But could not do as it is giving error message -NO RECORDS FOUND"

5.Then on 23-10-2014,I sent a mail to services@hdfclife.com detailing about the problem that I am encountering while registering online.

I even enquired with Mr.Arun Kumar of HDFC bank,Kadavantra branch and said there is delay in Mumbai office in updating the records.he also said all the documents are given and nothing is pending.

Unfortunately there was no reply from Mumbai office to my request mail sent on 23-10-2014.

6.Then I sent a REMIDER 1 mail on 28-10-2014 to services @hdfclife.com

7. To my surprise, I received a mail from Anjali Sigh,on 01-11-2014 asking me to provide all the documents.THIS TIME ONE MORE NEW REQUIREMENT--I NEED TO GO FOR MEDICAL and they a Cochin local hospital address.

(Most embarassing is that having known that I am an NRI,they are asking me to do medical @ a hospital in Cochin and funny thing is she provided me with an Indian TOLL FREE number to contact them for any queries)

8.Then immediately I sent a strong mail( on 07-11-2014) mentioning that I have already submitted twice the requirements and questioned her about the intimation of medical 2 months after proposal approval.

Since then again there is no respose from the Mumbai office.

9.Then once again I sent a REMINDER mail to Mumbai office.

10. Anjali Singh who was send mails to me untill now ,disappeared and a new staff by name Ms.Sumita Waghmare started send mails to me.

11.Further as there is no reply either from ms.Sumita,I sent a request mail to CANCEL the planproposal and remit the amount in my HDFC NRI account for which she asked some time.

12.As of today ie: 19-11-2014 there is no reply from herMumbai office.

I am not having any idea why they are taking this much time to cancel the proposal which is just a click away in their database....

if the service is like this how can a lay man cope up with these kind of issues.

My request is to kindly cancel the proposal as I have no further patience or time to deal with such kind of irresponsible companystaff.
