There was a minor issue where my TV was rebooting/restarting intermittently when switched ON. If we would take out the video input, and then plug it in again, it used to work without issues then. We logged a complaint with LG service on 13th Oct, 2014(complaint number- RNA141013017500). A technician visited around 16th oct and had a look at the issue and he dissembled the TV. His initial assessment was that the ribbon patch power cord might be defective for which he dissembled the television. i believe he plucked out the cable improperly leaving the TV damaged. He said the part was unavailable then and will take 2 weeks to come. Since then he has been avoiding a revisit.
Post this I have received further 2 more complaint numbers only (RNA141107013437 & RNA 141110080241) and my issue unresolved.
After multiple follow up calls, they sent someone with the replacement cord around mid November but I guess the new technician identified the damage that was already done and escaped saying that he’ll ask the previous technician to come and fix it. Then the service centre sent two more guys with replacement motherboard and LCD panel but nothing worked.
I had invested a big amount of 70k on this TV based on the brand value of LG. The negligence and unskilled staff of LG has resulted in converting my fully functional TV to be nothing more than a scrap.
I would request your help to get me justice as these big companies like LG don’t tend to pay any respect to their customer rights. I would like to get my TV repaired at the earliest for the actual damage and LG should bear cost for any damage caused by LG service staff.
