The Airport Company is using its monopolistic power to force customers to pay for even a 2 minute pick up at the Airport. Airport is increasingly an essential service like a railway station and customers coming there to pick up their family/friends are coming there for a specific purpose. They are not using the service but are forced to use the service since there is no other way of accessing their family. This is akin to paying for trespassing charges, but CSIA has no authority on the public land, it is only a company that runs the airport.
Hence it is important that the customers be given a 10 minute window (given the size of the airport) for picking up their friends/relatives. Post that CSIA should be free to charge the customer.
