Complaint Details
I purchased Xolo Q1200 on November 2014. Just after two months use, it got complaint.The battery getting discharged so fastly and when i connect charger, it charges up very fastly and shows wrong battery notification and unexpected shut down. Then i noticed that the battery is bulged (Heard from lot users the same problem). Battery bulge that affect the display with some color change. When I contact Xolo care through toll free number they said that Battery bulging issue not covers under warranty. This problem is not caused with my faulty usage. It’s only manufacturing defect. But the manufacturer doesn’t agree with their fault.
I mailed the details, to the Xolo care but no response. I call the toll free number, no response after long i got connected, but not satisfied with their support. Then i directly go to service center in my city but servicecenter shutdown!!!. Currently there is no service center working in my city (Kollam-Kerala). The only one that in my city is closed and they said a new one would open only after 2 weeks. For getting service i should wait for 2 weeks. It’s a long time according to end customer like me. Now I gave the phone to the Xolo service center in Cochin (HCL Info systems Ltd,). They took it and they said service is carried out by Xolo directly and they need to send it to them, only after that they can tell anything about the warranty service, otherwise I need to pay. It took 15 more days too. The service center mentioned in their websites, most of them are currently not working and those changes they didn’t update on their websites too.
COMPLAINT AREAS:
1. Manufacturing Handset model with low quality items.
2. Deficiency in after sales service or not abiding by warranty clause.
3. Harassment by the opposite party.
4. Not delivering the goods and services for which payment is made.
5. Charging excess amount.
6. Threat to life because of low quality parts.
THINGS I AM LOOKING FOR:
I don’t want any service repair with this model, it’s already have display problem with the battery swelling issue, so even if it’s get repaired there is chance for problems came again. So I need my money back which I spend for buying this Xolo Q1200 model, Rs. 7800/- along with the Compensation for the money I spend to find service centers in 2 cities. (Kollam and Ernakulam) and other expenses for filing this complaint and also the inconvenience happen to me because of this phone problem. So am looking for a Compensation amount of Rs. 12000/- from Xolo Company.
