Its a very big scam and Airtel trying to make money for the services which has been disconnected. Please be wise and be choosy while opting for Airtel connection. I am currently being a victim of their torture.
My family is holding 7 connections and we are moving away from airtel too.
Let me tell the issue, we have subscribed to aitel 4g ; 40MBPS Plan with 40GB download paying 2300Rs/ Month, After 40GB download, speed goes to 256kbps.. We hardly use internet but for every 15-20days i end up getting a message that my download limit is over. After testing it understand Airtel is cheating us.
I have decided to disconnect and i made a request to Airtel. Before disconnection i have cleared all the bill and requested to disconnect, also i made sure that my due balance is 0.00Rs and i wont get any other bill.. I did this on 3/4/2015 and i have request for immediate effect. Even the rep told its been disconnected and i am no longer airtel customer. Now all of sudden i am getting calls from Airtel about bill payment. When i reached Airtel office, i have been told that my account has been renewed for one more month and i am due paying the bill. I have also that as per pro rota is been renewed but my pro rota cycles renews every 5th of month whilst i disconnected it on 3rd itself, moreover every month as soon as it gets renewed i generally get notification to mobile and also to email but i haven't received any such notification, now everyday they started pestering me to pay the due balance which is 2400RS. I have been using this Airtel 4G from more than 9Months and this is what i am facing in returns. Beware of Airtel and dont be victim of their torture...
