Complaint Details
I bought an MI 10800 mah powerbank from Paytm on May 28 which was delivered to me on June 4. I found that power bank was unable to charge my 1800 mah mobile battery not even up to 20% (theoretically it should charge the same more than 5 times still in practical, company claims to charge such a mobile 3-4 times. If we calculate accordingly, this new product is not giving even 5% of its performance/efficiency. I was surprised over this and tried to do some research online and discussing with some of my friends. Resultantly, I came to the conclusion that the product delivered by Paytm is not a genuine power bank. It’s a fake one. Name of the seller is ALL INDIA HANDICRAFTS,A-17, 1ST FLOOR, VIKASPURI, NEW DELHI. Now when the product was of no use, I made a written complaint via email to care@paytm.com next day itself. In a reply mail, Paytm executive wrote me to send the some pictures of product (on June 5, 2015), invoice and outer and inner packings which I did immediately did on June 6 morning. My request to return the product was accepted by Paytm on the same day and later on return pickup was promised to me within a period of a week from the same day. They issued me an AWB no. of their courier partner (JWB Express). 1 day later, when I tracked the status via AWB no., it was showing the pickup address (my address) which is in Bharuch City to be a NON SERVICE AREA. That was really ridiculous that how such a giant e-commerce company like Paytm can make such a silly mistake by not confirming it earlier. Ultimately, I intimated the issue to them and they promised me to solve this problem in next 48-72 hours. Now, more than 2 weeks have already been passed and I’m reminding them on a regular basis to return the product. In reply to this, I’m again and again getting a autogenerated mail of executives stating that the issue has been forwarded to concerned department and will be solved in next 48-72 hours.
