Complaint Details
I had placed an order (order # 1100081772) for 8 items with Giftease.com on 6th June 2015 worth Rs. 3291 for delivery in Mumbai (Please see order PDF attached). At the time of ordering, the company confirmed delivery by 13 June 2015. However after having received no update about the product being shipped, I requested for an update on the shipment on 12 June 2015 (refer: Giftease Mail 1 – 12 June 2015). I was informed on mail that the shipment will be delivered as per original delivery date, i.e. 13 June 2015. On 13 June at 12.30 PM, I received a call from the Giftease Customer Care (executive name – Rehan) stating that out of the 8 items ordered, the company does not have stock of 2 items (SKUs – 722046 (MRP Rs.795) & 728270 (MRP Rs. 519)) and would not be able to fulfil the order for the same. Further, they informed me that the remaining items had not been dispatched and would not be delivered before 15th June 2015. Upon escalating the matter immediately (refer: Giftease Mail 1 – 12 June 2015), Mr. Raju from the customer service team apologised for the missing items as well as the delay and guaranteed me delivery of the items latest by 15th June 2015 as well as full refund within 24 hours for the two items that were out of stock (refer: Giftease Mail 2 – 13 June 2015). The order was however still not delivered on 15th June and after personally following up with the courier company repeatedly, I was able to receive the products on 17th June 2015 (refer: Giftease Mail 3 & 4 – 15 June 2015). On 15th June, I called up the customer helpline as well as mailed the company for assistance on this, however received no response on the same day(refer: Giftease Mail 4 – 15 June 2015). With regards to the refund, it has been over three weeks since I ordered the items and made the payment and two weeks since they notified me of the items being out of stock, but the refund has still not been processed. Over the last 21 days, I have been misled, misguided, received extremely poor customer service, harassed and mentally traumatized. To add to this, I have not been refunded money for out of stock products for which I paid the company in full over 3 weeks ago (refer: Giftease Mail 5 – 27 June 2015). I want the due amount to be returned to me immediately and also want compensation for the inconvenience and harassment caused by company.
