Reminder  Kolkata Incident
Sub;-Excess Fare and Behaviour of Chauffer for Journey Ref No-41543289 on date 28/06/2015 

Yesterday I sent the company mail thrice WITHOUT ANY REPLY.TOTAL TEXT IS AS FOLLOWS

  .Actual distance travelled is 9 km ,over telephone your people JUST TO COVER UP IS SAYING 17 km.Talks of your people  are not reliable
If you go by any distance calculator (like the following)you will see the distance is 9 km

The concerned driver also telephoned me saying that the excess money claimed will be refunded.He told me that the meter might be showing wrong.But then how could he tell on reaching City Centre that the distance is 9 KM.Talks of your people  are not reliable



I had a talk with coimpany Kolkata office persons at 33993399,when they were trying to say a distance of 17 kms for the journey WHICH IS TOTALLY UNTRUE,AS IT WAS ONLY 9 KM ,AS CONFIRMED BY YOUR DRIVER.THE RETURN JOURNEY by another ALSO SHOWED 8.2 KM(ALMOST SAME).For this I wanted fare print out sheet which was not given by your driver.This is very unethical.For a journey from Lake Town to City Centre2 via Chinar Park the distance is about 9 km .You should return the excess fare claimed.The distance should be checked up along with law governing authorities.,if I am making a false claim.This not definitely expected. The Driver initially told that Sunday charges are higher which is not true.If you have given a print out ,there it could be easily assessed that instead of 9 KM you are charging for 17 KM.Normally on a Sunday at 12-30 hrs the traffic is 
less particularly after the new flyover commissioned.I personally feel that you should return the excess fare claimed.

From Lake Town to City Centre 2 ,Rajarhat ,Distance 9 Km (as per driver).
Driver Name -Subrata Dutta ,Tel No-9038457424,Cab No-WB51A9356.Distance is ok ,as during return journey it was 8.2 Km
Your fare for  Intra-City Trips: within Kolkata city limits  Day Time 5:00 am to 11:00 pm is For the first 6 Kms    Rs. 150.00    . Rate after 6 Km Rs 15.00 / Km.Considering this the fare should have been Rs 195 plus service tax.But afer reaching City Centre the driver charged Rs 345 from me.He also said Sunday Charges are higher.Also he refused to give a fare print out sheet (as is normally done for these cabs)He told that a SMS will go to you.Incidentally no PRINT OUT /NO SMS FROM YOUR END CAME
Incidentally I am a retired Govt Official at a VERY SENIOR LEVEL.If you do not clarify this EXORBITANT FARE with the driver ,I may be forced to take it up with concerned Seniors at  A SENIOR level.Hope you will clarify this to my mail id.Normally for Mega cab the rate is Rs 21 per Km plus taxes,if I am not wrong.If the rate is so high it should be told during booking.
