Hi Team,

Good Morning.

I am Kaushik Dutta, a Reliance CDMA subscriber for the past 8 years with the numbers 9337754418 (Orissa) ; 9338105808 (Orissa) and 080- 32429477 (Bangalore). Out of the three numbers, two are on my name and one on my Father’s / Mother’s name (Goutam Dutta / Chhanda Dutta).

The sole purpose of taking these connections were to have better communication as I stay in Bangalore and my old parents in Bhubaneswar, Orissa and I have the INR 999 Plan where RIM – RIM is unlimited STD call. Since the signal strength was weak in Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar, Reliance team had installed the IBS system which was working fine all this while.

However, today afternoon, an Engineer from Reliance came and informed us that Reliance is shutting down its network in Odisha and hence removed the IBS antenna and took the machine away with him. When I asked what happens to the CDMA handsets that we have paid for since they become futile without the network connectivity, he asked me to contact the Head Office.

So now my question is, we are left with two CDMA handsets and one Fixed wireless phone which is of no use since it seems we will not have Reliance network in Bhubaneswar. Had this been a GSM handset, I would have thought of moving to any other service provider, however, now I am stuck with Reliance with the handsets which probably needs to use as paper weight in few days from now.

Is there any alternative solution that you have thought for your loyal customers or should we move to a different legal platform to mitigate the issue.

You would not be able to reach anyone on the number 9337754418 as there is no network coverage.
