Dear Sir,

I am an aggrieved customer of the very "renowned" service provider BHARTI AIRTEL. After shifting to Gurgaon in the month of December'15 from Kolkata (West Bengal) I finally applied for a port code on 21st December'15. The message received from the number 1901 very clearly stated that the porting code (CAK75835) was valid till 5-01-2016. When I went to the Airtel office near Honk Kong Bazar (Gurgaon) I was entertained by Somiya, one of their attendants. She had asked me to provide a set of documents and duly filled in forms. After arranging the same when I contacted the office on 3rd January 2016, I was now entertained by one of their most rude and uncivilized gentlemen, Mr. Ritesh. This time while accepting the documents I was told that a few more documents were required and the port code will not be useful (inspite of the fact that the code was valid till 05-01-2016) as it should be valid for another 15 days. I acted a little fussy, argued with him but returned back to get the changes made. I was told by Mr. Ritesh to get a new code and forward it to him so that the port process could be initiated. I did the same, generated a code (CAK76682) on 6th January 2016 which will be valid till 21st January 2016. Now, as per the rules my number should have been ported by 18th January 2016 (even after not considering the weekends). I repeatedly contacted Ritesh, but my questions not only went unanswered by him but also from their side when I had lodged complaints by dialing 121. I had to finally go to the Airtel office again so that I cant be dodged physically by their customer care people! And there to my utter astonishment I was told that the "Back office" personnel had lost my documents and I need to furnish the same documents again, generate the port code again, wait for 7 days again! I was assured that this time my number will be ported within the stipulated time without any hindrances. But I must applause Airtel and the very efficient staff that they have employed that my number has not been ported yet! and the port code (CAK78473) this time expired yesterday! In between this I contacted Mr. Ritesh, Ms. Somiya, Mr. Nitin (their manager) and Airtel Customes care (121) and also wrote to 121@in.airtel.com several times which were reverted with fake promises of my issue being resolved in 2hours, 24hours, 36hours, 7days, 15days, next working day etc!

It is really hard to believe how such a huge service provider is sustaining with such poor services and the claim of having the largest market share in the telecom industry will soon fade out if their procedures are not put in order!

Now I am in mid of a situation where my number has not been ported, I am being charged exorbitantly because of the frivolous acts of their staff. Kindly help.
