Hi,

I have a credit card with ICICI bank. I have attached a statement here.

I have an outstanding balance of 5672 to be paid on or before 9th March, 2016. However, on 4th march 2016, an amount of 31500 has been credited to my card account, due to refund of an amount i paid on december to a merchant. This has been reflected in the card statement too and the outstanding balance has been shown reduced. Hence i did not pay any amount on the due date, as the amount refunded is more than the outstanding amount for that month.

However the bank has levied late fee of 500 rs for NON payment of the balance, which is totally unfair illogical.

Added to it, the bank has blocked my card without any notification to me. THey are justifying that as per the bank policy, refund is NOT considered as payment, and hence card is blocked and fined.

In that case, i find the bank policy to be unfair, and would like to challenge that.
